Guest Teaching Artists

We are always accepting resumes and proposals for workshops and short term residencies. Guest artists are typically master teachers with exceptional credentials. We are currently booking guest artists for summer programs running July 1st-August 16th. We are also seeking production team members (Director, Music Director, Choreographer for our two summer musicals, including a pilot production of Disney's Finding Nemo and a teen production (title TBA) in NYC. ​

Summer Program Counselors

Seeking motivated teens and young adults for summer employment. Our summer programming runs from July 1st-August 16th, primarily in Yonkers, NY with the final week in NYC. Counselors support teaching artists and chaperone their own groups of students. 

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:45am-4:15pm plus 3 full days of training in mid-June.

Requirements:

-Age 16 or older by July 1st.

-Interest in performing arts, fitness and/or cheerleading instruction.

-Committed to promoting our mission of preparing students to lead through fitness and arts education.


Tumbling and Acrobatics Coach

Seeking a skilled instructor with a background in gymnastics/tumbling/acrobatics to run beginner-intermediate tumbling classes. A background in cheer, dance and/or performing arts is preferred.

Schedule: Saturdays 10:15-3pm and one weekday evening per week from 4-7pm. 

Responsibilities:

-Lead classes that will promote physical, social and emotional development.

-Help develop training curriculum and train new instructors in our training method.

-Provide customized feedback and progress reports for each student.

-Participate and represent New York All Stars at special events.

Requirements: 

-A minimum of a high school diploma

-Excellent written and spoken communication.

-Familiarity with social media marketing

Preferred:

-Credentialed or willingness to be credentialed by an established instructional organization such as the USASF, USAG or Acrobatic Arts, at your own expense.

-Availability to work in our summer program primarily from July 15th-26th.


Cheerleading Program Director

Seeking a highly motivated administrator with a background or interest in performance based cheerleading. New York All Stars is a fitness and arts based enrichment program serving Westchester County and NYC. Our unique performance cheer program combines traditional aspects of cheerleading with the all star cheerleading format to help young performers achieve optimal physical development while establishing leadership skills and a sense of community service and pride. Our cheerleaders attend between 1-3 professionally adjudicated events and participate in multiple performance opportunities throughout the school year including pre-show and half time shows at professional sporting events and program-wide showcases. Our program attracts students who excel in leadership and offers a pathway for students to grow from learners to earners with our junior coaching program. We are committed to community service and a family oriented atmosphere. 


Responsibilities:

-Create and Coach teams using New York All Stars Training Method
-Hire and train additional coaching staff as needed.
-Prepare materials and participate in strategic development of new locations.
-Facilitate school partnerships
-Liaise and communicate with current and prospective clients.
-Oversee apparel management and distribution. 
-Create a monthly newsletter
-Oversee social media projects and promotions specific to the cheer program.


Requirements:
-4 year degree or equivalent work experience.
-Exceptional written and verbal communication.
-High standard of client service
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
-Available for approximately 10 hours of weekly administrative work (flexible) and in person program leadership every Saturday (excluding holidays) during the school year. 
-Some travel for events


Professional Opportunities for Performance Students Program Director

Seeking a highly motivated administrator with a background or interest in musical theatre. New York All Stars is a fitness and arts based enrichment program serving Westchester County and NYC. Our unique program called P.O.P.S. is specially designed to give kids an unmatched experience in performing arts while developing essential life skills for success. Students participate in one major musical and many small performances including industry night cabarets, recitals and adjudicated events throughout the school year. Additionally, we attend the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, GA during MLK weekend. We create customized training plans for each student to help them on the path they want to pursue. Many of our students are working actors and under representation. Others are seeking the benefits of the professional performance training but are not necessarily pursuing performance. All are welcome and guided through our uniquely designed program.

Our program attracts students who excel in leadership and offers a pathway for students to grow from learners to earners with our junior leadership program. We are committed to community service and a high standard of client service. 

Responsibilities:

-Lead the flagship P.O.P.S. team using New York All Stars Training Method
-Hire and train additional staff as needed.
-Serve as at least one of the following production roles on each show: Director, Music Director, Choreographer, Stage Manager.
-Prepare materials and participate in strategic development of new locations.
-Facilitate school partnerships.
-Liaise and communicate with current and prospective clients.
-Oversee apparel management and distribution. 
-Create a monthly newsletter
-Oversee social media projects and promotions specific to the P.O.P.S. program.

Requirements:

-4 year degree or equivalent work experience.
-Exceptional written and verbal communication.
-High standard of client service, discretion and confidentiality 
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
-Available for approximately 10 hours of weekly administrative work (flexible) and in person program leadership every Saturday (excluding holidays) during the school year. 
-Some travel for events
-Confident salesperson with a drive for maximizing our client base
-Reliable transportation. Most required locations are accessible via public transportation. 

Preferred
-Experience with email platform such as MailChimp
-Experience working with event ticketing vendors
-Availability to work in our summer programs in Yonkers and NYC. (Some transportation assistance available)
